Categories Schenectady, Special Event
Join us on for a lively evening of poetry on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. In addition to the open mic, the evening will feature readings by writers from the region and from afar. Bring one or two short poems or one page of prose to share at the mic. Or, sit back and listen to work by our featured presenters and open mic readers. Readings start at 7:30. (If you’re early, stroll around the corner to Moon & River Cafe on 115 South Ferry St. Often a few of us gather at the back by the food counter for a quick snack and conversation.)
*** FEATURE OF THE NIGHT ***.
Susan Oringel will share poems from her book, My Coney Island, and several other writers will present poems on related themes of assimilation, belonging, and nostalgia. Plus, as always, the OPEN MIC! 7:30 pm. LEARN MORE: http://bit.ly/2mmqVLd
