Our Major initiative for 2023 (& beyond) is the construction of a full service ceramics studio: a critical expansion of our services, focused on providing Capital Region residents resources to help with the effects of continued mental health & isolation challenges from the pandemic. The expansion of our studio will allow us to double the community members we serve on a annual basis & expand outreach to residents who consistently express the need for more ongoing creative wellness & mental health services.
Why a Ceramics Studio?
The therapeutic nature of working with clay has long been extolled by ceramicists. It is a true expressive medium that combines tactile gratification, a holistic physical and mental experience, and meditative moments, while still sharing in playful connections with other class members.
