Clay Open Studio

In our open clay studio participants have the option to create basic hand built forms and sculptures including pinch pots, coil pots and slab formations with guidance from an instructor.  All clay, glazes and firings are provided

Ages: 5 and up (children ages 5-10 yo are required to have an adult present) 

Experience Level: This class is appropriate for anyone who has little or no clay experience.

Cost: $15

Experienced Wheel Throwing 

Participants with clay knowledge are welcome to use the pottery wheels on their own with guidance from an instructor.

Ages: experienced

Experience Level: l: This class is appropriate for anyone in the community with clay experience who may want to get back into wheel throwing or are looking for guidance from an instructor on refining their pottery skills.

Cost: $20

Intro to Wheel Throwing

In this beginner pottery class, students will learn the basic fundamentals of centering clay on the potter’s wheel to create cylindrical forms including mugs, pitchers, vases, and more. Works can be trimmed and refined to create functional shapes which will be glazed upon completion.

Ages: 18+

Experience Level: This class is for anyone who wants to learn how to use the pottery wheel with no prior experience. Prior wheel experience is also welcome.

Cost: $200 for 4 classes 

Wheel Throwing Taster

Learn how to wedge clay ,center it and practice creating a hand thrown pot on the potter’s wheel with instruction.

Ages: 18+

Experience Level: Beginners and anyone who wants extra guidance and practice with their current wheel throwing skills

Cost: $40

Experienced Open Studio

Participants are welcome to use this open studio time if you have prior clay experience and can work independently with little guidance from an instructor.  This is an opportunity to get into the studio to create hand built pieces out of clay or glaze previous work.  All clay, glazes and firings are provided.

Ages: 5 and up (children ages 5-10 yo are required to have an adult present) 

Experience Level: This class is appropriate for individuals with prior clay skills and basic knowledge of our studio space.

Cost $15

Kids Wheel

This workshop is the perfect opportunity for kids to learn how to throw a clay form on the pottery wheel. Our experienced instructor will initially guide your kids through the Potter’s process of centering and forming a shape. Continuing on to trimming/altering their design to glazing finished pieces. Clay Mindfulness encourages creativity

Ages: 8-teens

Experience Level: This class is appropriate for all kids wanting to learn how to use the pottery wheel and/or handbuild. 

Cost: $20
